The huge Rossiya Airlines plane managed to safely land in after one of its four engines reportedly had failed mid-flight around 1pm local time on Tuesday. The plane took off from Larnaca, a popular tourists destination in Cyprus.
About 500 Russian tourists from different regions of the country were on board the aircraft. Moreover, crew decided to switch off one of the engines and kept the situation under control.
Technical specifications of the aircraft made it possible fly to Moscow with three working engines, a source told Interfax.
