By the end of May 2018, Airbus SE is expected to acquire the majority of stake in Bombardier’s CSeries programme, Reuters report depending on the information provided by people familiar with the plan.
In case the deal will be closed in May, the companies will go ahead an initial timetable. Airbus agreed to buy a majority stake in Bombardier’s CSeries jetliner programme, which has performed well but struggled to cut costs and win new orders, in October 2017.
According to Bloomberg, Airbus is currently considering the names for new aircraft. One of the rumours reveals that it could be renamed the A200 family with the CS100 and CS300 being redesignated the A210 and A230. However, no formal decision has been made yet.
Meanwhile, Bombardier said it had no updates to share.
