Ameco has finished cabin layout modification work on 10 Air China-operated Airbus A330-200s.

The cabin project began in September 2016 at Ameco’s Beijing facility with a scheduled C-check layover. Following modification, the jets were converted with a different cabin configuration in business and economic classes.

The aircraft entertainment systems, seat powering systems and passenger services systems were also modified during the layover.

Ameco, China’s largest mainland MRO, said it achieved a seven-day turnaround time for each aircraft.

The company has focused on ramping up its interiors division in the past two years in order to attract more airline modification work.

The segment is anticipatedjames to grow at a fast pace, with aviation consultancy ICF International predicting it will expand at a compound annual growth rate of 5.2% over the next decade – outstripping the projected 4.1% CAGR of the air transport  MRO sector.
