BOC Aviation, an aircraft leasing company headquartered in Singapore, joined the list of those making changes to Boeing 737 MAX orders. The company has terminated bookings for 30 MAX aircraft and deferred the delivery of some more, Reuters reports.

Even though the company has decided to decrease the aircraft order book, its representatives emphasize that BOC Aviation is further confident in the type and Boeing, and have even done several purchase-and-leasebacks. The lessor is rather adapting to the new market environment and the demand.

Just recently Boeing has performed the first re-certification test flight bringing 737 MAX take-off closer, and also recently Norwegian has announced cancelling order for 92 Boeing 737 MAX planes.

Nevertheless, the nature of these cancellations is slightly different. While Norwegian was forced to review its business over the grounded type and ensure continuity of operations, aircraft lessors are rather trying to reach a compromise with a planemaker, but are not saying ‘no’ to the type.
