Boeing has released its results for Q1 of 2021, showing that Boeing 737 MAX deliveries made up over 80% of the total figure. All in all, 77 aircraft were delivered, with 63 being Boeing 737 MAX contribution.

The total of 77 aircraft consisted of one 747, five 767s, six 777s, two 787s and 63 737 MAXs. In regards to the MAXs, airlines such as Neos, Cayman airlines, Tui and the big three US carriers took them, according to Planespotters.net reports.

Although the MAXs’ deliveries seem incredible, they might slow down in the second quarter due to identified electrical issues on the aircraft of 16 airlines. Thus, the impacted carriers, among which is Southwest, had to ground their fleet again temporarily.

Despite Boeing’s gradual recovery, Airbus remains ahead in terms of deliveries. It delivered 72 airlines in March alone and 125 in Q1, 2021.
