Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (Embraer) delivered 47 commercial aircraft and 49 corporate aircraft in the first half of 2016, the company indicated in a statement disclosing its second quarter and first half-year results.

In the second quarter, the company delivered 26 commercial aircraft and a like number of corporate aircraft (23 light aircraft and three large ones).

Embraer closed the first half-year with a portfolio of firm orders worth US$21.9 billion, versus the US$22.9 billion at the end of the first six months of 2015 and a similar amount at the end of the first quarter of 2016.

Net income amounted to 4.771 billion reais in the second quarter of 2016, up 2 percent year-on-year, a marginal percentage variance which according to Embraer was due to fewer aircraft deliveries.
