An Easyjet Airbus A320-200, performing flight from Edinburgh to Bristol (UK), reported burning electrical odour on board.

  • Aircraft was enroute at FL330 about 60nm northwest of Birmingham (UK) when the crew decided to divert to Birmingham due to a burning electrical odour.
  • The aircraft landed safely on Birmingham’s runway 15 about 30 minutes later.
  • The airline reported the aircraft diverted due to technical fault, the passengers were bussed to Bristol.
  • The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Birmingham for about 18 hours, then positioned to London Gatwick,EN (UK) and is still on the ground in Gatwick about 12 hours after landing in Gatwick.
