Estonia-based Magnetic MRO has signed a cooperation with logistics firm Kuehne + Nagel to offer a mutual engine stand management and logistics support solution to their MRO, OEM, airline and leasing customers.

The deal will see both firms’ offerings being combined: Magnetic MRO’s EngineStands24.com and Kuehne + Nagel’s KN EngineChain solution, which they said will create a “global digititalized one-stop solution” for the transportation and storage of aerospace engine stands.

At the commencement of the deal, Kuehne + Nagel KN EngineChain hubs in Amsterdam, Singapore and Dubai will be operational.

Jonas Butautis, CEO of Magnetic MRO, admitted the firm had previously been “puzzled” at what it saw as a lack of availability of all incorporating engine logistics solutions.

“Rethinking the logistics and warehousing processes, engine stands lease and returns, IT and communication solutions, we are creating a solution which matches the customer needs, who move these valuable assets around the globe,” he added.
