Reading Time: < 1 minuteAirbus announced a new name for its partnership with Bombardier, known as the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP). Starting 1 June, 2019, it will become Airbus Canada Limited Partnership.
“The new name reflects the majority interest of Airbus in the partnership since July 1, 2018. The partnership is adopting the Airbus logo as its single visual identity“, said the European aircraft manufacturer in a statement.
However, Airbus noted that on the building exteriors in Mirabel both Airbus and Bombardier logos will be displayed, as on this site works on both Airbus A220 and Bombardier CRJ aircraft are carried out.
Airbus and Bombardier signed an agreement on mutual partnership in October 2017, while officially the transaction was closed on 1st July 2018, confirming Airbus as the owner of a majority stake (50.01%).
Airbus announcement has come shortly after its rival’s, Boeing, statement on the new name for its JV with Embraer. Now the competition will begin between Airbus Canada and Boeing Brasil.
