The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand (IAANZ) is the Professional flight training division of New Zealand's largest Aero Club, the Canterbury Aero Club (established 1928.)
The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand holds New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority (NZ CAA) Part 141 approval for flight training.
The Academy is unique in that it operates from a large international airport, with full instrument approach aids. The experience gained in this airline environment gives its graduates a significant advantage when pursuing an aviation career. Additionally its own satellite airfield at West Melton is clear of busy airspace, and provides an ideal alternative, particularly for students during early stages of training.
