Smart Gates Helps Sharjah To Mark Near 1 Million Travellers

Sharjah Airports have seen a brisk flow of traffic after the installation of smart gates, according to the Sharjah Airport Authority.

The authority announced that over 850,000 passengers passed through 16 Smart Gates installed in October 2016 at the departure and arrival terminals in Sharjah International Airport.

“Travelers can now get through passport control within 20 seconds,” says Salim Al Midfa, chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority.

“The Smart Gates have proven to reduce the passenger rush during peak hours, ensuring a smooth travel experience.”

The airport has also launched an awareness campaign around their Smart Gates to travelers which will run till the end of July.
