After a dip in the market, The Aviation Maintenance Holding now predicts Russia will experience an upswing in the next five years.

When will we see growth in the MRO sector and how soon?

Igor Panshin, Deputy GD Sales & Planning, Engineering, for The Aviation Maintenance Holding, says, “I think you will see growth in the Russian market quite soon because we had two or three years of the market going down, but now the situation has become stable. We forecast in five years, at least, increase of the number of aircraft and demand for the maintenance accordingly and the painting of the aircraft. If the fleet will grow up from 900 aircraft to 1,400 then the market [for] maintenance will also go up. Before 2025, you’ll see an absolutely different picture in a few years.” Panshin spoke on the “Leader Insight Panel: MRO in the BEER Region” session at MRO BEER, in Sofia, Bulgaria, on May 10.
