The air travel demand continues to grow in the US, with around to million passengers traveling per day.

The record numbers of two million a day were recorded on June 17th and 18th. These were the third and fourth days since March 2020 where passenger numbers were that high.

It may seem that the two million milestones that have been achieved only a couple of times are not yet an indicator of the recovery. However, according to Transportation Security Administration (TSA), since June 9th, no fewer than 1.6 million passengers have gone through a checkpoint.

It has also been noticed that Tuesdays and Wednesdays have faced the most significant improvements in air travel since both are considered heavy business travel days.
