The ten-year-old Boeing aircraft had been stored from February 18 to June 22 at Belgrade airport. After that, it operated charter flights under SkyUp’s code before the ACMI agreement with Wizz Air.
The Ukrainian LCC has been placing its aircraft with other operators while it cannot operate out of Ukraine due to the ongoing Russian invasion. Three of its B737-800s are used by Corendon Airlines Europe, two by Smartwings (Czechia), and one for Wizz Air, Tailwind Airlines, and Freebird Airlines.
