VGTU Antanas Gustaitis Aviation Institute (AGAI) is a faculty of VGTU and an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) that focuses entirely on the preparation of aviation specialists for the major areas of the aviation industry.
The Faculty was founded in 1993 and now has 492 students, and 52 teaching and administrative staff. AGAI cooperates with more than 20 major social partners from Baltic countries among which are airlines, aircraft maintenance organizations and various governmental bodies. Every 3rd student gains international experience through study mobility or an internship abroad. The institute carries out 7 degree programmes, in the fields of Aircraft Piloting, Aviation Mechanics, Avionics, and Air Traffic Control, and around 40 non-degree training programmes for those seeking various piloting licences, instructor ratinng, etc., as well as aviation specialists wishing to improve or renew their qualifications.
