Reading Time: < 1 minuteBoeing announced that official debut of its long-awaited Boeing 777X model will take place on 13 March 2019. The record-breaking machine is expected to become the largest and most efficient two-engine jetliner worldwide.

Powered by the biggest engine in the world, GE9X, Boeing 777X will come in two variants: Boeing 777-8 and 777-9. The twin-aisle configuration of the -8 model will allow to carry 350-375 passengers, while the larger version of 777X jetliner, the -9 model, will be able to fly 400-425 passengers.
As for now, 8 major airlines have placed order for Boeing 777X planes: All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines.
