China Aircraft Leasing (CALC) has announced that it placed an order for 40 new Airbus A321neo planes. With a current booking, CALC becomes the 7th biggest lessor customer for Airbus, as now its order book stands at 252 Airbus aircraft.

According to Airbus orders & deliveries sheet, the Chinese company already owns or still has on order Airbus A319, A320, A320neo, A321 and A321neo aircraft.

“We see enormous market appetite for this single-aisle aircraft with lower operational cost, and the order is in line with our portfolio strategy of investing in the most in-demand modern technology aircraft with unbeatable fuel efficiency”, the company said in a statement.
