Reading Time: < 1 minuteAirbus has secured a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 50 A220-300 aircraft from Green Africa Airways, Nigeria’s Lagos-based airline. The biggest ever order for the type from Africa.
The MoU was signed during the Singapore Airshow. Even though the coronavirus impacted the show and a number of participants have not attended the event, Airbus managed to win.
“The unique characteristics of the A220 will allow the airline to unlock destinations and route pairs that previously would have been considered non-viable”, said Christian Scherer, Airbus Chief Commercial Officer.
