A Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-800, performing flight from Jakarta to Yogyakarta (Indonesia) with 153 people on board, overran runway on landing.

• Aircraft landed on Yogyakarta’s runway 09 but overran the end of the runway and came to a stop with the nose gear about 3 meters past the runway on the paved surface of the runway end safety area, the main gear still on the runway.
• There were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.
• The aircraft was pushed back onto the runway and subsequently taxied to the apron.
