A Skywest Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of United, performing flight from Aspen to Chicago O’Hare (USA), reported gear problem.

  • Aircraft was descending through FL330 towards Chicago when the crew began to squawk emergency due to a gear problem.
  • The crew decided to perform a low approach to Chicago’s runway 10C to have the landing gear inspected.
  • After the low approach tower reported the gear appeared to be down and normal.
  • The crew positioned for another approach to runway 10C and landed safely about 15 minutes after the low approach.
