Air Belgium is Closer to Its Launch: Hiring Pilots and Cabin Crew

Air Belgium seems to be one step closer to its launch, on its website you can now find 2 new career options: cabin crew and cockpit crew.

Air Belgium is particularly looking for cabin crew that speaks Mandarin, we can assume that there will be Chinese destinations, meanwhile the pilots require experience on the A320, A330 and/or A340.

As Cabin Crew Member your first responsibility is to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers on board of a flight. In addition, your role is to deliver a great and quality service to our guests. Also you will assure them the best customer experience possible and expected by our passengers. Last but not least, through your attentive and professional behaviour, you will be the face of our Company and thereby contribute to building our collective reputation.

Read carefully the pre-entry requirements and apply:

  • You must at least be 18+ of age at the time of application
  • You must hold at least a minimum High School Diploma
  • You should be able to reach with your arms up 210cm of height (required to reach all Emergency equipment’s on board)
  • You must be able to sit on a flight attendant’s seat without the use of a seatbelt extension
  • You are fluently speaking and writing in English, Dutch and French OR you are fluently speaking English and Mandarin
  • You must be medically fit to meet Air Crew requirements
  • You must be able to swim fully clothed without the assistance of a flotation device
  • You must display a nice personal presentation with style and a positive image. No visible tattoo’s or piercings (arms-legs- shoulder) while wearing the Air Belgium uniform (Bandages and cosmetic coverage are not allowed)
  • You must hold a valid EU passport with unrestricted travel worldwide
  • You are willing to fly from multiple bases within 120 km from Brussels
  • You have no criminal records and be eligible to obtain an airport ID
  • You have an outgoing, jovial personality with excellent communication skills under any circumstances
  • You are positive minded and being helpful to people is your secondary nature

We are inviting candidates to operate our Airbus A340-300:

  • Experienced Captain (3,000 hours TT + 500 hours on type) rated on A340 / A330 or A320
  • Experienced First Officer (1,500 hours TT + full ATPL + 500 hours on type) rated on A340 / A330 / A320
  • Cruise Relief First Officer (no previous experience required):– Rated on MPA type (Airbus, Boeing) – CPL IR ME MCC
  • Experienced Instructor (TRI/TRE/SFI) rated on A340 / A330
