A 53-year-old flight attendant was injured on Monday after she fell off an Air India plane preparing for a flight to Delhi that was about to take off at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai.

According to media reports, the airline said that the “unfortunate incident” happened while the flight attendant was closing the door of the Boeing 777 aircraft. She lost her balance and slipped into the gap between the ladder and the aircraft and hit the tarmac.

Air India crew member sustained injuries and has been taken to hospital for further treatment.
