An American Airlines Boeing 737-800, performing flight from Miami to Newark (USA) with 149 passengers and 5 crew, reported smoke in the cabin.

• Aircraft was climbing out of Miami’s runway 26L when the crew declared emergency reporting smoke in the cabin and stopped the climb at about 8000 feet.
• The aircraft returned to Miami for a safe landing on runway 27 about 20 minutes after departure.
• All crew, both pilots and the three flight attendants, requested a medical check up at the airport, one of the flight attendants was taken to a hospital for further examination.
• A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N810NN reached Newark with a delay of 4.5 hours.
