Initial flights Bamboo will operate between September and November 2021 will be “proving” flights before the airline launches regularly scheduled service. The airline will operate flights to Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA), with the first flight scheduled for September 23.
The airline will fly 12 roundtrips between Vietnam and the US until November, using its Boeing 787-9 aircraft, one of the few aircraft that can handle the long hop across the Pacific Ocean. The airline already has three of these in its fleet, with a further 11 on order.
According to VnExpress, the airline also has plans to sign memorandums with San Francisco and Los Angeles airports and is in the process of establishing a representative office in the US.
