Reading Time: < 1 minuteBoeing’s orders for February stand at 82 aircraft and outpace 51 cancellations, making it the first time since November 2019 when the manufacturer posted a net-increase in orders.
With 83 aircraft orders for February 2021 and 3 for January 2021, the total number to date is 86. This is 47% of the 184 total orders received in 2020.
According to CNBC, Boeing’s February sales included 25 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to United Airlines and 27 KC-46 tankers. Singapore Airlines replaced its order for 19 787-10 Dreamliners with one for 11 777X airplanes. Out of the 51 cancellations, 32 of them were for Boeing 737 MAX airplanes.
Boeing delivered 22 aircraft in February, including 18 Boeing 737 MAX planes. The company’s current backlog is 4041 aircraft.
