Deer Jet Beijing has announced it conducted China’s first commercial passenger service to Antarctica this past weekend.

In a statement, the private charter specialist said one of its Gulfstream G650 executive jets took off from Hong Kong Chek Lap Kok last week with twenty-two passengers on a fifteen-hour journey to Cape Town, South Africa.

There, it refuelled before heading to Wolfs Fang Runway, located in Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica.

Onboard the service were paying guests, HNA Group executives, as well as representatives from Caesar Travel Group, an HNA Group unit that plans to formally launch a South Pole tourism product next year.
