It turned out to be a false alarm.
“Delta flight JFK to Paris. Two hours in, captain realizes that the cargo light is on because the door is open. You can’t make this up,” wrote Twitter user Bo Han.
“Complications with flying with the door open at 30k elevation. Dumping fuel now in the ocean, and headed back to JFK,” he continued.
