Reading Time: < 1 minuteA Delta Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-88, performing flight from Nashville,TN to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 156 people on board, was in the initial climb out of Nashville’s runway 31 when the crew reported they had just lost the #2 engine (JT8D) and declared emergency advising they were able to fly a pattern to runway 31.
The aircraft levelled off at 2500 feet and landed safely on runway 31 about 11 minutes after departure.
