Passengers on a Delta flight had a scare Monday afternoon after one of the plane’s tires blew out at LaGuardia Airport.

The FAA reports Delta flight 2143 landed safely just before 3 p.m. The plane, which arrived from Tampa, then reported a blown tire.

Passengers were removed from the plane and bussed to the terminal.

The aircraft was held on the taxiway for inspection.

Port Authority police say the tire has been changed and the plane is proceeding to the terminal.

No injuries were reported.

The FAA is investigating what caused the tire to blow.
