Eastern Australia DH8B Engine Shuts Down in Flight

Eastern Australia de Havilland Dash 8-200, on behalf of Qantas, was descending towards Albury when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine down due to an engine oil indication.

The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Albury forcing local emergency service to cut their training exercise short for the arrival of the aircraft.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for about 26 hours, then returned to service.
