Reading Time: < 1 minutePraetor 500, the new midsize business jet from Embraer, has complemented regulatory approval from Brazil’s Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC) with relevant certifications from EASA and FAA.
The jet has been granted triple-certification less than a year after its announcement in 2018. As for now, the Praetor 500 is considered to be “the farthest- and fastest-flying midsize jet“.
Embraer says it is capable of performing non-stop flights “from Miami to Seattle, or Los Angeles to New York as well from New York to London, London to Dubai and Jakarta to Tokyo, all non-stop”.
The Praetor 500, an updated version of the Legacy 450, is powered by the Honeywell HTF7500E engine and comes equipped with the Collins Aerospace Pro Line Fusion flight deck.
With four passengers, the Praetor 500 has range of 3,340 nautical miles (6,190km) and a high-speed cruise of 466 kt (863km/h).
