Fatal Military Aviation Crashes Reach A 6-Year High

The number of military aviation accidents and the number of crews killed has reached a high in years, Military Times reported the results of it investigation.

Since October 2017, 12 fatal accidents, including 11 crashes and one ground incident, have occurred claiming the lives of 35 military pilots and crew. Nevertheless, the authorities do not see the situation coming out of the norm. The Pentagon Press Secretary Dana White also said that this is not a crisis, as these are different individuals and different circumstances.

Notably, Military Times found that military aviation accidents across the military’s manned bombers, fighters, cargo planes, helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft had jumped 39 percent since the automatic budget cuts of 2013.
