Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400 Engine Shuts Down in Flight

A Flybe de Havilland Dash 8-400, performing flight from Aberdeen to Birmingham (UK) with 47 people on board, was descending towards Birmingham when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (PW150) down.

The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Birmingham about 10 minutes later.

The airline reported the crew shut one of the engines down as a precaution.
