The first groups of cadets from L3’s Airline Academy will start training for the IR and MEP program at PFA in August 2018.
The agreement will increase L3’s capacity for training enabling it to meet demand for its industry leading ATPL Commercial Pilot career program while providing a new and exciting training location for cadets.
The training undertaken at PFA will integrate with training performed at L3’s other EASA Airline Academy locations in the U.K., Portugal and New Zealand.
“Demand for our Integrated ATPL program continues to grow and through this agreement we’re able to continue to provide the highest possible safety, quality training and rewarding cadet experience we’re known for, launching more aspiring pilots into their dream career”, said Mark Bond, Vice President of Training Services, L3 CTS.
PFA’s CEO Frode Granlund says: “We are very happy to partner with L3 for this program. We have over the last few years invested in a fleet of new training aircraft, simulators, education facilities, modern IT systems and a professional team to provide cadet training to large groups of commercial pilot students. Throughout the process, we have learned that PFA and L3 share the same philosophy of high standards and quality in professional pilot training.”
