Reading Time: < 1 minuteLOT Polish Airlines will move into the new Terminal 1 at New York’s JFK Airport. Central Europe’s leading airline and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the airport operator, have agreed on this after around two years of negotiations.
The new state-of-the-art terminal is designed exclusively for international flights and will have 23 gates. It is planned to start construction of the approximately 220,000m2 NTO this summer. The construction, which will take place in different phases – beginning with a new arrival and departure hall – will cost around USD 9.5 billion.
“We are very pleased to be part of this great and in many ways groundbreaking terminal,” said Rafał Milczarski, CEO and President of the Management Board at LOT Polish Airlines. “We also see this as recognition of our almost 50-year partnership with John F. Kennedy International Airport.”
