Next Steps for Aviation amid COVID-19: AIR Convention Launches Free Virtual Conference

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In the context of the global pandemic, the international aviation event AIR Convention is taking a path of adaptation to a digital reality. In June 2020, the conference is launching a new project – AIR Convention Digital Week.

The event will take place in an online setup with 50+ global aviation visionaries invited to discuss the industry reshaped by the virus effects. Every day at 2 PM (CET), from Monday to Friday (June 15th – June 19th, 2020), the digital conference for people of aviation will be available to stream for free.

From airlines and airports to MRO and ACMI providers, the Digital Week aims to give each sector an outlook, united by one major theme “Next steps for aviation amid COVID-19: a survival guide for aviators”. During five days of discussions, invited experts will talk over ways of recovery amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Each conference day will have a specific topic in focus. On Monday, keynote speakers will do a general market review, sharing their projections on the future of the aviation market. With a focus on ACMI, charter, and cargo airlines, the second conference day will live stream a one-hour-long discussion about each of these business sectors.

On Wednesday, the experts will evaluate the coronavirus pandemic impact on the commercial aviation aftermarket and leasing sector. During the fourth conference day, the speakers will discuss how companies could apply new tech and aviation recruitment solutions to hasten the recovery process. On the closing conference day, representatives from airports will mull over the biggest risks and working methods to deal with the pandemic.

While the industry anticipates a turbulent year (or even a couple of years) ahead, AIR Convention Digital Week will focus its efforts on assisting aviation businesses in these economically uncertain times here and now. Switching to online, the conference will serve as a point of in-depth discussions and as a strong business networking platform.

A virtual space for networking will be available each conference day. The largest virtual platform of its kind, AIR Connections is where people of aviation will be able to meet next potential partners and do business with them.

AIR Convention Digital Week is free to stream on AeroTime.aero, Facebook, and YouTube. Registration is required.
