A Westjet Boeing 737-700, registration C-GQWJ performing flight WS-1152 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to San Juan (Puerto Rico) with 126 passengers and 5 crew, was enroute at FL370 about 470nm east of Wilmington,NC (USA) when a member of the flight crew became ill and was unable to continue duties.

• A medical professional travelling as passenger on board provided first aid to the pilot, while the other flight crew member returned the aircraft to Toronto. Medical services were called to meet the aircraft upon arrival.
• The Canadian TSB reported the ill pilot was assessed by medical services and released shortly after.
