• Aircraft was climbing out of Chiang Mai when the crew stopped the climb at FL180 due to a crack in the windshield.
• The aircraft landed safely back in Chiang Mai about 45 minutes after departure.
• A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration 9V-MGB reached Singapore with a delay of 11 hours.
