A Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300, performing flight from Singapore (Singapore) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 234 passengers and 17 crew, reported loss of cabin pressure.

  • Aircraft was climbing out of Singapore when the crew stopped the climb at FL240 due to problems with the cabin pressure.
  • The crew subsequently initiated an emergency descent to 6000 feet due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released.
  • The aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Singapore for a safe landing about 100 minutes after departure.
  • A replacement Boeing 777-300 reached Paris with a delay of 5:20 hours.
