Reading Time: < 1 minuteA Thomas Cook Airlines Boeing 757-300, performing flight from London Gatwick to Arrecife with 284 people on board, had been enroute at FL350 and was descending towards Lanzarote/Arrecife when the crew received indication of the failure of one of the engines (RB211), declared emergency, shut the engine down and continued to Arrecife for a safe landing.
