Thomas Cook Flight From Glasgow to Spain Makes an Emergency Landing

A flight travelling to Mallorca has diverted to Manchester Airport after a bird was sucked into one of its engines.

The Thomas Cook Airlines flight TCX47MG departed from Glasgow at 6.17am and was due to arrive in Spain.

But the plane made an unscheduled landing at around 6.45am at Manchester Airport.

The Thomas Cook flight has now landed safely at Manchester Airport and passengers will be transferred onto another aircraft.

A bird became sucked into one of the engines of the Airbus A321.
