Reading Time: < 1 minuteUnited, one of the major airlines in the US, has ordered 50 Airbus A321 Xtra Long Range (XLR) aircraft to expand its transatlantic routes network and replace older aircraft models.
The delivery of the first Airbus A321XLR is expected to take place in 2024, while start of international service is scheduled for 2025.
“In addition to strengthening our ability to fly more efficiently, the A321XLR opens potential new destinations to further develop our route network and provide customers with more options to travel the globe”, in a statement said Andrew Nocella, United’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
