Reading Time: < 1 minuteSpanish low-cost airline Vueling has come back to George Best Belfast City Airport in Northern Ireland for the first time since 2015.
The Airbus A320-200 that took off from El Prat Airport in Barcelona at 11:50 and arrived in Belfast at 13:11 was given a traditional water cannon salute to celebrate the return. There were also flamenco dancers entertaining the passengers.
Ellie McGimpsey, Aviation Development Manager at Belfast City Airport, commented: “Vueling’s plans to launch a direct route to Barcelona from Belfast City Airport will be welcome news for many, giving passengers more choice for the summer. “
“The convenient flight times and twice-weekly service on Mondays and Fridays make it an ideal choice for a relaxing weekend break, sunshine getaway, or trip to the beach with the family.“
“We are looking forward to seeing Vueling’s passengers and staff at the airport this summer.”
