WestJet says one of its flights had to be diverted Wednesday night following a threat.

The airline says flight WS142 from Vancouver to Ottawa was forced to land at Thunder Bay just before 11 p.m. after receiving a “non-specific and non-credible” threat.

“At the request of Transport Canada, #WS142 diverted to Thunder Bay, where it landed safely,”

WestJet tweeted out. “We are now following the lead of law enforcement.”

WestJet said it landed at Thunder Bay International Airport safely and the company will provide further information as it becomes available.
