Reading Time: < 1 minuteA Wizz Air Airbus A321-200, performing flight from Bucharest Otopeni (Romania) to Eindhoven (Netherlands) with 228 people on board, was on approach to Eindhoven when the crew reported they had a flight controls problem and needed to level off and enter a hold.
The crew subsequently reported they had slats and flaps problems and because of that they would land at a higher than normal speed so crew requested emergency services on stand by and declared PAN.
The aircraft landed safely on Eindhoven’s runway at a higher than normal speed (168 knots over ground) about 30 minutes after aborting the first approach.
