Reading Time: < 1 minuteFrom December 1st, Wizz Air will require its flight and cabin crew to be vaccinated.
The airline is making this move ‘in light of research which demonstrates their effectiveness as the best available form of protection against COVID-19.’
In a statement, Wizz Air said, “As governments increasingly mandate evidence of vaccinations for crews as part of national entry requirements, COVID-19 vaccinated crews are becoming more and more critical.”
Wizz Air is the first European carrier to take such measures – following the likes of United in the US, which is facing a backlash over its demand that all employees are jabbed by October.
However, it has not been confirmed yet if those who refuse will face dismissal.
