WestJet begins seasonal Boeing 737 services with 4X-weekly Halifax-Vancouver June 30 and 4X-weekly Halifax-Winnipeg July 2.

V Air began Taipei TPE-Ibaraki service March 15. V Air’s also began 4X-weekly Manila-Taipei service.

UPS added a new sorting facility and expanded its existing building at Ontario International Airport, Calif. The new building will process UPS next day air packages and will feature automated sorting capabilities. The building’s size increases 15% to almost 900,000 sq. ft. Construction of the 416,000-sq. ft. air sorting facility was completed in September 2015. UPS flies 38 daily flights to and from Ontario International Airport.

EVA Air began 2X-daily Taipei TPE-Cebu Airbus A321-200 service. It also flies 2X-daily –Manila service.

EVA Air and Air Canada began codesharing fights in March. Under the codeshare, Air Canada passengers can take EVA-operated flights from Tokyo NRT and Seoul ICN airports to both Taoyuan TPE and Kaohsiung KHH airports in Taiwan. EVA passengers can fly Air Canada on Vancouver-Calgary and -Edmonton and Toronto-Montreal.

EVA offers 5X-weekly Taipei-Toronto and -Vancouver. Both carriers are members of Star Alliance.

Ryanair began Budapest-Malaga and –Malta Boeing 737-800 service.

Spirit Airlines begins 2X-daily Seattle/Tacoma-Los Angeles and -Las Vegas April 14.

Blue Air will increase Larnaca-Athens to 14X-weekly and –Thessaloniki to 5X-weekly. Constanta Is added with 2X-weekly service.

Hong Kong Airlines began daily Hong Kong-Okayama service. Other flights to Japan include 5X-weekly Sapporo, 3X-weekly Kagoshima, 2X-weekly Miyazaki and Kumamoto.

Korean Air begins 7X-weekly Incheon-Okinawa May 5.

Qatar Airways will replace Airbus A320s with Boeing 787s on its daily Doha-Geneva service July 1.

Ukraine International Airlines offers 3X-weekly Kiev-Venice Boeing 737 service for summer 2016.
