Reading Time: < 1 minuteA start-up airline from Denmark, Great Dane Airlines, established in 2018, has announced it is ready to begin operations already this June with two Embraer E195 jet aircraft.
Great Dane will initially serve routes to Chania, Mallorca, Varna, and Rhodes from Aalborg Airport. Soon after, the airline will add Dublin, Edinburgh, and Nice to their network. Both aircraft were purchased from Stobart Air.
On its website the airline provides that the need to launch a new carrier arouse because of the lack of charter and regional flights from Aalborg Airport. The airlines currently operating from the airport could not cover the demand, as their seating capacity offered was too large for the routes.
