Reading Time: < 1 minuteEthiopian Airlines refuses providing any comments regarding the investigation of the ET-302 crash, however, is convinced that its pilots followed all the procedures to prevent the fatal accident, whereas Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft have problems.
According to the airline, its pilots were prepared to operate Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The captain was upgraded to commander position with over 6,500 total hours while the First Officer has also gone through all necessary training according to the set standards.
At the same time the airline revealed that the Boeing 737 MAX 8 full flight simulator, the airline operates, “was not configured to simulate the MCAS operation by the aircraft manufacturer”.
“The fact that the entire world have grounded more than 370 B737 Max 8 airplanes speaks loud and clear that the airplane has a problem”, the airline said in its latest statement.
Last week, the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines said that the airline is not ready to say whether it will fly MAX aircraft after it is made airborne again. Also, the CEO stressed that even when the aircraft will have all the updates certified and checked, Ethiopian will not be the first airline to fly these planes again.
