Airports are indispensable part of air travel. Undoubtedly, contributing to general quality and comfort of your travel. So, which airport is “a must” to visit in 2019 to get the best experience?

This week, Skytrax, “Oscars of the aviation industry”, has released the results of their annual airport customer satisfaction survey.

For the seventh consecutive year the title of the “World’s Best Airport” has been given to Changi Airport in Singapore.

Nowadays Singapore is an iconic stop on the world map for travellers who recognise Changi Airport for its unique and unrivaled airport experiences, which have become synonymous with global connectivity, clockwork efficiency and exceptional service offerings that are one-of-a-kind.

“To be voted the World’s Best Airport for the seventh consecutive year is a truly fabulous achievement for Changi Airport, and this award continues to underline the airport’s popularity with international air travellers”, said Mr Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax.

Skytrax awards are regarded as the quality benchmark for the world airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across over 550 airports. No surprise that getting the crown of the best is a huge honour.

Changi Airport Does not Rest on Its Laurels

Singapore Changi Airport connects customers to over 200 destinations worldwide, with 5000 arrivals and departures a week by 80 international airlines.

Last year the airport registered a strong performance handling a record 65.6 million passenger movements for the year with 386,000 landings and take-offs.

In 2017 the airport opened it newest terminal T4. The one strongly contributed to the operations of the airport and served 8.3 million passengers in 2018.

In 2019, to be more precise, already next month (April), Changi Airport is determined to open to the world its Jewel Changi Airport.
